WHAT TO EXPECT AT OUR SUNDAY WORSHIP SERVICES

If you aren't used to coming to church we understand it might seem a little strange and daunting! Please be assured of a very warm welcome if you come along; we want to make you feel at ease and answer any questions you might have.

We gather, above all, to praise God together, for all things are from Him, through Him and for Him. The services last for about an hour, and afterwards we usually gather around some refreshments to chat with one another.

During the morning service you can follow what is going on by looking at the printed order of service, which you can pick up as you come in. We sing both hymns and psalms as an expression of thanks and devotion to God. Some of our songs are joyful and celebratory, some are more contemplative, quiet and meditative. Do join in and sing with us if you feel able to. There will also be prayers and Bible readings, and towards the end the minister will speak for about half an hour. This is the sermon and in it the speaker will explain and apply the teaching of the Bible to us for today.

We believe that when these things take place God is really present with us, and speaks to us through the Bible. We do hope you will come to hear and learn more. Twice a month we share in what we call the Lord's Supper, or Holy Communion. Occasionally we also celebrate a baptism.
