Jesus Christ, King and head of the church, has commanded us in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:18-20) to take the good news of His Gospel to all nations, to make disciples, to baptise them and to teach them all of His commandments. In addition to our effort to be obedient to this commission in Bury St Edmunds, we support church plants through the wider church we are members of – the Evangelical Presbyterian Church in England and Wales. We also support other groups that are engaged in the Great Commission abroad.

The Evangelical Presbyterian Church of England and Wales

Our Church belongs to the Evangelical Presbyterian Church of England and Wales, which means we are connected to other churches around the country (and Europe) as part of the united body of Christ. As a wider church expression of the church, we are engaged in church planting efforts at home and on the continent. You can find out more about the denomination on its website.

The Bible teaches us that ‘pure and undefiled religion before God the Father is this: to visit orphans and widows in their trouble’ (James 1:27) As a church, we support Orphaids, a Christian charity that provides care for widows and orphans in some of the world’s poorest communities. You can find out more about Orphaids on their website
